Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
On 01/24/2025, we received your booking with a signed electronic agreement containing your first and last name. Once the agreement was signed, it became a legally binding contract. Upon receiving your cancellation request, we offered to correct the car information to ensure the service could proceed as planned. Since the contract had already been finalized, your cancellation was subject to the terms outlined in our cancellation policy. Regarding your concern about our Price Match Promise, we would like to clarify its terms as outlined in Section 23(b) of our contract:
"Price Match Promise: If you find a lower price from a reputable competitor for an identical auto transport service within 24 hours of booking with us, we will gladly review and confirm if we can match or beat that price. We strive to ensure you receive the highest quality service at the lowest possible cost."
While we make every effort to honor price match requests, in cases where a lower price falls significantly below current market rates, we transparently decline to match it. This approach ensures that the service we provide meets industry standards and avoids delays or complications caused by unrealistic pricing. Our priority is to offer honest, reliable rates that enable successful and timely vehicle transportation.
We appreciate any honest feedback and always strive to offer the same. As a business, we invest significant time, effort, and resources into serving our customers and ensuring the success of every transport. No one is obligated to use our services, but once our resources are utilized, it is unreasonable and unethical to refuse the costs associated with them.
SGT Auto Transport was hired to leverage our expertise in the auto hauling industry and our proprietary network of vetted motor carriers to secure a licensed and insured carrier for your transport. We are deeply committed to honoring the terms of the contracts we execute. These agreements exist to protect our customers and ensure a seamless experience, and we take them seriously.
What many first-time shippers may not realize is the tremendous amount of effort involved in sourcing and vetting carriers to ensure compliance with government regulations and insurance requirements. The moment a service contract is signed, we act immediately to allocate resources toward fulfilling the transport.
For this reason, we maintain a strict cancellation policy, which we transparently communicate on our website, in customer emails, and within the signed contract. Unfortunately, in this case, the cancellation fee applied due to the cancellation of a contract already in effect.
