We contracted Your Choice Auto Transport to ship a car that we had just purchased in Florida to our home in Oklahoma. Before choosing who to go with we got several quotes for price as well as for shipping time. YCAT was not the cheapest but they did promise to get the car to us the fastest and would give us the driver's number once the car had been picked up so we could get updates on it's location as it was traveling to us. Unfortunately the estimate on both the shipping time and cost were wrong. We ended up waiting almost a month for the car and having to pay $100 more. The office staff at YCAT was very helpful in explaining the way auto shipping works and why the extra time and cost but I would have appreciated it more if we had been told up front what to expect. Our car was scheduled to be shipped once but the driver backed out after we'd waited all weekend. When we finally did get the shipping scheduled and the car picked up the drivers that brought it were amazing. They picked the car up when they said they would, dropped it off to us when they said they would and called several times along the way to let us know where they were. Shannon and Bob were extremely friendly and took excellent care of our car. When we talked to them the first time we found out they had been only 3 miles from our home dropping off another car from Florida the week before so I don't know why YCTA didn't contact them to bring ours as well at that time. This was our first time using a car shipping service and while it was a mostly negative experience Shannon and Bob did they're best to salvage it. If we were to purchase a car out of state in the future I would be more likely to just fly to where it was located and drive it home myself rather than using an auto shipping company.
