Update: April 4, 2012 - After four months of negotiating, a credit has been received from USVL and we have come to a "satisfactory resolution."

I needed a Ford Expedition picked up in Jackson, Mississippi & delivered to E. Liberty, OH on a rush basis...literally, it needed to be in OH as quickly as I could possibly get it there.

1) I spoke to Robert Igneri at USVL and told him that I did not want it put on a carhauler type of truck with other vehicles, and that it was most expedient that it be delivered straight to OH by the absolute fastest method, and that I would pay more than usual to accomplish that, but if he can't do that for me then, I told him, I did not want to do it; I will find someone else. He said, Trust me, I can get this done for you. Just hold on. He even said, I understand. This is what we call a dedicated load/run. (deposit $520; $800 at delivery)
- - It was placed onto a multicar hauler with one stop before getting to OH.

2) He said, "We have up to three days to pick it up, but I guarantee that it will be picked up within two days, easy."
- -It was picked up on the third day in Mississippi.

3) He took a deposit ($520) and said that a check would be needed by the driver when the vehicle is delivered. I told him, no, I don't want my client on the other end to have to deal with that. I insist on taking care of that now by credit card. He said, no problem.
- - The vehicle arrived in OH at 6 a.m. and the driver asked for a check. The client then had to scramble to provide a check. Imagine dealing with your accounting department at 6 a.m. Oh, by the way, my boss called me at 7 a.m. asking why this wasn't already done. The hauler also called me at 7:15 saying that a check wasn't there.

4) The "job" was ultimately handled by a "third" party.
- -...with whom I had to communicate because Robert did not consider it important enough to let them know where to deliver the vehicle and the names of people to contact on the other end.

5) I ultimately disputed the deposit charges because of dissatisfaction, etc. After a multiplicity of calls, they were willing to give a $75 credit, which I tlkd them was insufficient compensation for all the problems.
- - USVL said, well, what is the problem, you got the vehicle as we told you you would get it? They couldn't seem to get it through their skulls that if Robert had been up front with me from the get-go, I would have gone elsewhere to get it done the way and the speed that I needed to get it done. And once they had the vehicle in "their possession" and all the problems arose, I was stuck using them and couldn't make changes.

I could go on; those are just the highlights. But for me, this company is a pain.
