I talked to Joe a couple times, and several other brokers, before I made the decision as to which broker to use to ship a Miata I bought in Texas back to Illinois.

I decided on Joe because he was straightforward as to the transport business ($100 for the broker) and his qoute of $500 was at the low end of the quotes I received i.e. $500 to $800.

I placed my order with Joe, using Visa, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and within a hour, even before I could fax the contract, Joe called me back, and said for an extra $25 he could have the car to me by the following Monday. I agreed to the increase over the original quote of $500, ie $525 now. He gave me the name of the transport carrier, Tophat Transportation. Tophat was to pick up the Miata either the day after Thanksgiving, or Sat, and deliver on Monday. He said I should call him if I don't hear from the driver Monday morning. 10am Monday morning the driver, Keith, called and we set up a location to pick up the Maita. Keith mentioned that the battery was dead on the Miata when he picked it up at the dealer, and had to jump it. We also had to do the same to get it off the transport. He was very professional, pleasant, and friendly to visit with. I would definitely recommend Joe, and Keith, for any other move I have. I gave Kieth a money order for the $425 balance, and was very pleased with the whole experience!
