Love the broker, hate the carrier

Overall I had a good experience with Specialty Mobile Systems. I was hesitant to use a broker but Dee was very friendly, knowledgeable and kept in good contact throughout the process. My gripe is with the carrier that they chose to use, OK Auto Transport, based in Spokane, Washington. This company was 3 days late on both pickup and arrival, very hard to get a hold of, and overall extremely aloof about the process. ZERO customer service. When their scheduled times came and went there was no phone call to inform us, and almost all calls to them were met with an answering machine. When I was able to get them on the phone the answer was always the same: "tomorrow". Thankfully all it took was a phone call to Dee and Specialty Mobile got things sorted out, keeping in touch with the party at the pickup location and with me on the destination. In short, don't hesistate to use this company, but get as much info as you can about who they'll be brokering the job to. All the good customer service in the world won't make up for the frustration you'll experience with a lousy carrier.
