Having never used an auto transporter before, I had only a hazy idea of what was involved. After reviewing a few quotes, and reading reviews on this site, I chose Specialty Mobile mostly because the folks I talked to on the phone seemed to actually take an interest in the details of the move. My car was unusual, and both the pick-up and drop off locations were off the beaten path. The trucker had a terrible run of bad luck regarding break-downs which delayed the pick-up a bit, and his GPS unit routed him down one of the smallest class 4 roads in the area at delivery time, but the vehicle arrived in the same shape as when loaded. The trucker was the perfect example of resourcefulness and good humor, both ends of the transaction were after dark, below freezing and in the snow in Minnesota. Even though my situation was unusual in that there was no time constraint on either end, I feel that both Specialty mobile and their sub contractors are a class act, and would perform well in meeting a strict schedule. I would certainly call them first should I ever have a need in the future.
