I went through the traditional process of hiring a broker in order to find a carrier to move my car from CA to FL. As soon as the broker posted my listing for service, Skyline Express picked the order up. Before confirming with Skyline, I contacted my broker and asked for Skyline's DOT License and Insurance Information. I received a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance which stated that they were insured through 7/7/12 however when you look at the FMCSA pulic information online it stated that Skyline's insurance was going to cancel on 11/14/11. I called their insurance agent to verify coverage and found out that their policy was going to expire on the 14th of November due to lack of payment. I also found out that the so called "Certificate of Liability" they sent out was fraudulent. I am so glad I did my research before hiring this company as my car would have been on their truck when their insurance was canceled. So if anything happened, I would be the one left to pay the price!
