My fiancé was migrating from Boston to San Francisco the end of July and we were debating driving across the US or to utilize a shipping company. Due to COVID, driving was a bit unsafe we felt and all the places we would've loved to stop and visit would be closed in either case. I started to look for individual transporters in Lowell, MA where she was located. However I didn't have much luck and couldn't really rely on the tiny review samples available. Ship-a-Car-Direct had the most positive reviews. They had door to door pick up and drop off, an app for photos and clear instructions on their FAQ, like affirming our ability to leave 100lbs of stuff in the trunk. All my questions were answered online and any remaining on the phone call consultation before I pulled the trigger. Total cost was $1400 for the transport. Of course I could've saved a little more going direct, but the extra couple of hundred dollars spent was well worth the piece of mind of insurance and having all my basis covered with a company that deals with transporters on the daily. Highly recommended, they even picked up the car earlier and delivered earlier than expected. This company over communicates which is great. Car was received in the same condition as I dropped off. All in all, a success!
