Where do I begin? I had my deposit to Michael the very very first part of December. Prior to putting my deposit down Michael quoted me $650 total. $150 deposit and then $500 COD. He also assured me it was a 72 hour pickup from the time my deposit cleared. My deposit cleared on December 2. My car was picked up January 6. Do the math. After my deposit cleared, there were nothing but lies and excuses over the course of the next month +. The car sat for 35 days before someone finally came to get it. Not once did anyone contact me with any updates. I would contact Michael when a promise of his had come and gone with no avail and he'd tell me yet another excuse. I heard every one in the book. The story would change every single time I talked with him. 35 days is a far stretch from a "guaranteed" 72 hour pickup. Not to mention we ended up paying a total of $1100. $150 deposit and $900 cod. Near the end I had had a gut full of the lies and excuses. I gave Michael a choice. Either get my car picked up asap or we would be cancelling the contract and going after our full deposit. It wasn't till I starting getting nasty that something happened. And when it did, as I mentioned it ended up costing almost double what our original quote was. In my eyes Michael and Rock Bottom Transport are nothing but scammers. They reel you in with an amazingly low quote, make every promise underneath the sun, then when they get your deposit they check out. And when you question Michael about what's going on, he gets defensive and makes yet another excuse and another empty promise. NEVER again. Don't ever use these people unless you want the worst experience of your life. Had I known that his quote was way too low and no one would ever pick up my car for that, I would have gone somewhere else. But Michael is a good talker. He makes you believe he can really get it done for that and picked up within 72 hours. And I have every single email to prove it. He is so arrogant that he would promise week after week that my car would be picked up. Yet days would go by and nothing. Don't waste your time or money. Now our carrier was amazing. It was Sons of thunder trucking. Now they know what they are doing. But they are not affiliated with RBRT. Go straight to them and skip the scammer. RBRT is a joke. UPDATE...after I placed this review RBRT claimed I was never a customer of theirs and they had no record of any business transaction with me, and subsequently had my review removed. I showed proof that I was indeed a customer of theirs through a cleared check, contract, and multiple emails from RBRT. My review was then put back on. These people are unbelievable. Scammers is an understatement.
