The auto shipping from hell.

I hired THRIFTY AUTO TRANSPORT who appears to have changed to RELIABLE AUTO TRANSPORT LLC (Florida) back in July 2015. The aggreement was auto shipping from La. To Ga. Of my 2000 Ford CV vehicle for $400. Weeks later I recieved a call from the dispatcher stating that my car was now "TOO BIG" I needed to pay an additional $100 to have the car shipped. My next contact almost a week after the car was SUPPOSED to be picked up was from MOBILE ALABAMA POLICE DEPARTMENT stating that my car was being driven on the street, in a neighborhood, patrolled by Task Force, and my car was being IMPOUNDED and its driver arrested. Now....I made contact with THRIFTY /RELIABLE to see what the hell was happening but the short version is: "I HAD TO PAY CASH TO GET MY CAR OUT OF IMPOUND and I am still awaiting closure from the transport company I hired to ship my car. Ironically it has been almost 30 DAYS from the date of pickup....and I am still awaiting closure.

It should be noted that as a consumer I felt that I should have been addressed as such.

HAVING TO PAY CASH OUT OF MY OWN POCKET TO GET MY CAR OUT OF JAIL, WHILE IT WAS UNDER CONTRACT WITH A HIRED AUTO SHIPPER, AND SUPPOSSED TO BE ON A CAR CARRIER, AND NOT BEING DRIVEN ON A PUBLIC STREET, DOESN'T SOUND LIKE A CUSTOMER WHO WAS BEING GIVEN PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

NOW... after over 3 weeks of patiently waiting and daily calls and emails asking for my deposit to be returned to me, I'm now being told by the company I hired I am WRONG for making this post and don't call them again.
"I REALLY WILL NOT BE GETTING MY DEPOSIT BACK NOW" !!!!!

"So I'll let the readers decide if I am being unreasonable by posting my experience. Hopefully this post might SAVE other consumers from enduring the grief I have experienced hiring this auto shipping company.
