We entered into a contract with Global Auto Transport, they pretended to have a fleet of their own trucks. Turns out that was a lie. They then hired Quality Transport to ship our car (never told us until yesterday). Our car was due to be delivered on 7/11/11 at the latest (it was picked up o 6/29/11). I have been calling both Global and Quality for 2 weeks (between my husband and me, we have probably called 70 times), not one phone call has ever been returned. We have been lied to over and over again. When the car didn't arrive as scheduled, we called (again) and were told that it would be delivered on 7/13, then 7/15, then 7/16.....it NEVER arrived and no one returns our calls. We then got a call last night saying that our car was here, but would not be delivered to our house (in violation of the contract). Quality demanded $850 in cash, which we didn't have as we were told we could pay by credit card - which is how we paid for the deposit. And we had no idea that the car would be arriving (having been assured MANY times that we would receive a call 24 hours before the car arrived, so we knew to be here - which, of course, never happened). Not only did they demand cash, but they would not allow my husband to inspect the car before paying - again, in violation of the contract which states that it MUST be inspected by us before we take possession. My husband made it clear that we were willing to pay immediately, via Western Union (Ed Pour, the owner of Quality suggested that), as soon as he was allowed to inspect the car. The driver would not allow him to and left with our car. It is essentially now stolen.
