This company was subcontracted by Angels Moving Autos in California who was the contracted mover. When our car ('93 VW Corrado) was picked up in Minnesota the driver (Ken) was shown by the person we bought the car from how to open the hood with the normal hood release in the car. They opened the hood to disconnect the battery so it would not drain during transport. The car was switched to a local guy (Peter, the owner of Patriot Auto Transport) somewhere in the local area. In the process of switching the car to the local trailer the idiots broke the hood release cable (note the Corrado has a DUAL hood release) so now the car was stuck on the truck with no hood release, battery disconnected and the car needed to be moved off. The buffoons then went about prying open the hood with force (rather than removing the front grill and manually popping the hood releases), causing physical damage (bending and a kink) in the hood. While they were clearly struggling with this the driver's side door was swung wide open and struck a support post of the truck damaging the driver's side door edge. None of this was disclosed to us, the car was delivered in the dark (hmm, wonder why) in a remote parking lot. We noticed the hood release was broken because Peter (the owner) was trying to cover up the damage any lying to us about what took place. We refused to pay the full amount of the car delivery and withheld $100 for the cable. It was not until we got the car home and inspected the hood (which is now crimped and does not fit correctly) and the door damage. They deny any of these damages and are unwilling to pay for it or file a claim on their insurance for their own stupidity. I spoke with the person we bought the car from and he indicated there were no issues with the hood or the driver's door when the car was picked up and these defects were not indicated on the vehicle inspection form. These guys are idiots, they do not know how to handle cars in any way and when they screw things up they are experts at hiding their mistakes and screwing the customer over. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING!! THEY WILL SCREW IT UP AND YOU WILL PAY FOR IT. If you are ever asked to take delivery in the DARK in a REMOTE parking lot DO NOT DO IT! Carefully inspect every inch of your car upon delivery and do not accept any damage that is not recorded upon pickup.
