They never picked up my car but they sure like my deposit!

New Way Moving Services DOESN'T WANT YOU TO SEE THIS REVIEW. When I first reviewed them they had been stalling the refund of my deposit from Nov.28 to Jan. 9.2012. After posting the review they denied I was even a customer. This site accepted my proof that I truly was a customer and reinstated the review. Then New Way demanded I sign a Release Agreement which, in part, states "all events and actions leading up to this Agreement... are to remain confidential... (nor) be taken or reported to any state, city, government, consumer group, public, media organization internet website or credit card agency" WHAT??? They owe me a refund of $100 because I paid an upfront fee to arrange for a car carrier -that never happened- and two days after the window of time as stated in their contract, I called and asked for the return of my money. They mention a grace period in their contract but do not define what that is, but they do keep 20% of your money even if they fail to perform. They never once initiated any calls and all their emails came as replies to mine. I was constantly transferred to someone who was not there and whose voicemail box was full. I was promised by MARC that RACHEL would call me, I was promised by RACHEL that "the right person" who was out would call me next week, I was promised the check was being sent... Then they said they wouldn't send it because of the review which was posted PRIOR to receiving their Release Agreement. They told the BBB that I hadn't returned the Release (I had) but because I still had a negative review posted- they wanted it removed before I would get MY MONEY back.. For $100?? They warned me not to say anything because I might "LIE" .. that my file was going to their legal department. I don't have my money yet and that is the TRUTH. If it came to me tomorrow, I still have to ask you: do you want to go through this? I might never see it, but you should think about any company that wants your money upfront and will retain 20% even if they fail to perform... .or, in my case, 100% of it to date (1.20.12) RUN, RUN as fast as you can..
