After browsing the internet for a reputable moving company, my phone started ringing off the hook I guess everyone was aware that we were searching for movers. I received a call from Moving and relocation NJ and felt comfortable with the decision to have them move us. Here is a brief overview of our conversation: I stated we needed to move only!! no packing was necessary as we packed. Move was for June 15th, 2010. I was told by Natalia, the receptionist, after going through a list of items to move that our home was equivalent to a 3 bedroom home, and at a rate of $70 per hour, 24' truck with 1 foreman and 3 men plus moving within 5 miles, we would be moved within 4 hours. Tax and tolls included. I was satisfied! Natalia said 8 am is the earliest, I could change that time if I needed and did change this time to 1 pm. Moving day is here and I get a call at 8 am that a moving company is outside! I stated we are your 1 pm move as our new home is not ready for us until 1:30 - 2:00. Well, they left and after 3pm our movers finally show up after numerous phone calls to them. They come in an unfamiliar truck, a budget truck to be exact with 1 foreman named Ralph, and 2 movers who couldn't introduce themselves. None of these men were in uniform. My parents, myself, my husbands parents, my children were all present when Ralph states he can't move anything unless they box it, it won't be insured! Well. This was a problem. I can't aggravate myself and get into all the details that followed, it's so unreal.. I'll cut to the chase... We paid $1200 (not including the tip) to move boxes and NO furniture.. 5 miles away... oh wait I"m sorry they so kindly moved our bed for us after we insisted on it!!! The next day we had to rent our own 24' Uhaul and had our 60 year old parents help us move our furniture ourselves!!! I tried to contact this company and they are giving us the run around on reimbursement and even obtaining a receipt is a far reach!!!!
