Damaged Vehicle and won't fix it

When the 2008 Audi R8 arrived to our client there was a scratch on the front fender/hood. Client marked it on the Bill of Lading and the driver apologized and said they would take care of it and that buffing it out should fix it. Well, buffing it out didn't fix it because it was a deep scratch. Our client got us the pictures and estimate for $1378 to fix the scratch. We sent everything to Massey and they said they would take care of it. They ignored it for over a month, then told us they never got the claim information. We resent everything and then they decided they didn't cause "that deep of a scratch and they weren't paying for it." They admitted to damaging the car and refused to pay for it when the time came. We even hired (out of our pocket) an independent adjuster to look over the damage to determine if it was "just a surface scratch" or a deep one and they came up with approximately the same amount that the body shop estimated. We did this to protect the all parties (INCLUDING THE CARRIER!!!)

This was a brand new $120,000 car that they damaged and refused to fix. I would seriously stay away from anybody like this that blatantly won't fix vehicles that they damage. We are filing a lawsuit and will let the courts handle this.
