We called Hilton Auto transport 3 days before we were leaving on a permanent move from Utah to South Carolina. We had to call at the last minute because of the misinformation and service received by a competing transport company (Caviness Auto Transport ) We intially received estimates from many different companies and made the mistake of choosing the lowest bidder. In this case we paid a $100 deposit (which was nto refunded)to the Caviness company and then because the price they quoted was so low, we waited without any guarantee that our vehicle would be picked up. 3 days before we were leaving town, I called Hilton transport and they were extremely prompt and honest in all of their responses. They explained how the transport system works, and that the price impacts how likely it is the bid for your vehicle will be selected by a transporting company. Jimmy Greene , the driver who picked up the vehicle , was aware of our challening scheduling situation and actually arrived a day early nearly less than 2 days after we submitted the request. He contacted us to arrange a convenient place for pickup and arrived at our South Carolina destination only 1 day after we did. The pickup was easy. the only delay he experienced was related to other people not having cash to pay him due to a holiday weekend. We had prepared a cashiers check ahead of time so that we could quickly pay him upon his arrival. I would highly reccomend this company .
