Gold Star transport is the gold standard in the shipping world. While my parents were visiting me in Virginia from Illinois their transmission had issues and could not make the trip back. We had no idea what to do so I googled having a car shipped and filled out a generic online form. Well let me say that opened up a whole new world that I never knew existed. I received at least 70 phone calls and over 100 e-mails from different brokers.
Ellen, thank goodness was one of them. She was so awesome, taking the time to explain the entire broker/trucker process in great detail and giving me advice like I was family. She spent 45 minutes on the phone with me without a hint of impatience. I had sooo many people calling with different prices and opinions and what to/not to do. At the same time I had another specific broker that kept calling and throwing out other opinions, I called Ellen to tell her this and she was very understanding and said I should do what is right for our family and that she would wish us the best. This sold me to stick with her, she truly cared about me just getting my parents vehicle home safely.
The pick-up took a few days longer than desired but this was due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Gold star was less expensive than the other quotes as well. The pick-up itself went quickly and my parents recieved their vehicle 24 hours later, amazing.
Do yourself a favor, go with Gold Star, they care and do their best not to jack up the price and stick with you throughout the process.
