These guys moved my brand new car across the country.
1) On the one hand, they delivered the car in one piece.
(essentially undamaged, except for a small scratch on
the underside of the car)
2) On the other hand, they fibbed a bit when I asked to
make sure that the truck which would transport my car
would be "theirs" and not contracted out. The truck
driver who picked up my car confirmed that he "worked
for Express Auto Transport" and had their sticker
on his truck. But the (much smaller) truck which
actually delivered my car (after it had taken a long
circuitous route, which nevertheless resulted in
an on-promised-time delivery) was clearly contracted
out. But the driver was very nice.
3) Both drivers of trucks warned me that damage is
almost unavoidable on long-haul trips on open trucks.
Next time, I'm likely to pay the extra cash to get
an enclosed truck.
