This fiasco started with a quote from CAR SHIPPER USA (GLEN HOLSMAN) HE INFORMED US CHAMPION AUTO BROKERS/CHAMPION CAR CARRIERS INC (PREV JTY LOGISTICS CORP) (this cat has many colors!!!) 5600 Collins Ave, apt 17W, Miami Beach, Fl 33140 driver YOAN MEDEROS, would pick up car in Ormond Beach, Fl on Sat, July 9, 2011, and deliver to Albany, NY in 2-3 days. (Time was of the essence here as receiver needed car to work for college tuition). Sat came and no YOAN. We called the cell # given for Yoan, and got an answering machine. Later, a woman called, said he was working on the truck, and would pick up on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Monday came and went- NO CHAMPION CAR CARRIERS, OR BROKERS, OR WHATEVER THEY CALL THEMSELVES. We called GLEN HOLSMAN, OF CAR SHIPPERS, USA- BROKER WHO CHOSE CAR CARRIERS, ETC. Glen couldn't shed light on the situation, and YOAN did not call by Tuesday, so we cancelled, and chose another route. Glen returned the $100 deposit EVENTUALLY, after a few prods, in a couple of weeks. This whole situation was an eye-opener in itself. The phone rang constantly with offers of transport, warnings about "THE BOARD" AND PICK UP TIMES VS. DOLLARS, ETC. IT WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTING TO BE HOUNDED BY BROKERS, DEAL WITH A CARRIER WHO WAS NON-RESPONSIVE, AND, SO, WE HAVE VOWED TO NEVER AGAIN DEAL WITH THE AUTO TRANSPORT INDUSTRY. We lost 5 days, and eventually got the car to a grand-daughter by our own means. btw__we finally heard from Yoan on wed pm, wanting to make the pickup!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!
