Choosing CF Transport was my biggest mistake.
Do not be fooled by a cheap quote and seemingly friendly representatives--the service from CF Transport will be your worst nightmare!

Initially, when I was shopping around for a transport company, the workers at CF Transport were very friendly. And since their quote was the cheapest I decided to go with them. Maurice, the sales manager even helped me to fill out the contract agreement. (However, there was a young child crying and carrying on in the background.)

After sending the contract agreement, I had tried to contact CF Transport with other questions. Day after day I would leave messages, and no one ever returned my call.

CF Transport claims “Pickup is normally within 48-72 hours after service agreement is received.”

I heard not a word from CF Transport even after 72 hours had passed. (It would have been courteous on their part to at least inform me that pickup would not happen within their normal timeframe.) 5 days later I was finally able to contact Maurice. (Again, a young child crying loudly in the background.) When asked why no one had returned my phone calls, he asked whom I had spoken to last time. “I spoke to you, Maurice.” He said I was mistaken, and he denied ever having dealt with me! Perhaps the crying child distracted him from remembering.

After expressing my disappointment in CF Transport’s customer service, he reassured me that my car would be picked up shortly. He said that they had narrowed down the search to 2 possible carriers. THEY DIDN’T EVEN HAVE A CARRIER YET! I told him that I had a flight in 2 days, but he was sure a carrier would come by that time.

After that conversation with Maurice, it was again very difficult to get a hold of anyone at CF Transport. The morning of my flight, I called and expressed concern that I would not be here to handle the pickup of the vehicle. Maurice replied, “Just leave the keys in the tailpipe and the driver will pick it up.” (Just leave the keys in the tailpipe?! I don’t think so.) At that point, I decided to cancel the contract with CF Transport.

(I then contracted DAS auto shippers to ship my vehicle, and they have been a dream to work with!)

Days after ending my contract with CF Transport, I was contacted by another sales representative and he said he was still looking for a carrier to ship my vehicle. I told him, I had already canceled my contract. He had not been aware of that. Another week later, another sales associate called me and she said they were still looking for a carrier. Again, I explained my dealings with Maurice, the sales manager, and that I had cancelled the contract. She was apologetic and had mentioned that he had been in sick and was not aware of what had transpired.

So, moral of the story: for all-around bad service CF Transport is where to go.
