My 1994 Ford Mustang Conv was picked up 1 week late, placed on top of an open car carrier backwards and chained down. Upon the vehicles arrival in Illinois at my Sister- in -laws house, the tires were flat, the convertible top seam was ripped around the rear window, the brakes did not work, the front grill was broken, the radiator support was broken the left front fender was touching the top of the left tire, and the hood will not latch down. The vehicle was in good condition when it was picked up. The office manager, Jasma, for CDA Transporters told me to bad that they are not in the business of fixing cars and they have no responsibility for repairing it. I spoke with Marie Shoemaker of Lincoln General Insurance Company who insures CDA and although she was very nice to speak with , my claim was denied because the driver said" there were no incidents with the vehicle",(Wouldn't he be stupid to say anything else). Also pictures that were taken of the car prior to it being loaded on the carrier and pictures taken of the damage was supplied to the insurance company and their response was that "The pictures could have been doctored". I requested that a claim agent be sent to look at the car and was told NO.The vehicle was dropped off 1/2 hour earlier that my sister-in-law asked and was several houses down the street. My 17 year old nephew , a minor, signed for the vehicle as the driver was in a hurry. Imagine that, my car was dropped off early and given to a minor and not the person it was consigned to. Just think if the person who signed for it was a thief and my car went missing. I have tried every avenue to settle this with CDA and Lincoln Insurance and both say to bad fix it myself. I would not recommend anyone use these services now or ever and my feelings are that the the company should be put out of business. Call me if you want more info.
