This was my first experience with car tranasportation and I was very apprehensive about the trustworthiness of the industry as a whole. The price quote from AutoLine looked the most reasonable, so I decided to call them. My sales rep, Heidi, was very understanding about my concerns for finding a transport company whom I could trust, and she was reassuring that AutoLine was a trusted company in good standing with a solid reputation. I still feel that AutoLine is a reputable company and that I would use them again, however, as most people already know, truck drivers are a bit less reliable. The driver who was scheduled to pick up my car never showed up and never bothered to call me to let me know he was not coming to pick up my car as promised. So when my 5 day window of pickup time came and went, I called Heidi. Again she was very pleasant and helpful, but the only solution she had was to tell me that the scheduled driver decided he didn't want to drive to Houston to pick up my car, but she did find another driver who would pick it up for $75 more dollars! I was a annoyed by this because I couldn't really afford the original price let alone get charged more for the negligence and unprofessionalism of the first driver. I was upset but that was the only option offered to me by AutoLine, so what could I do? I do think that anyone who uses AutoLine will have a good experience with them, but watch out for those drivers!
