I purchased my vehicle, a ’66 continental convertible, in November of 2010. I asked for bids from numerous brokers, specifying I wanted it transported door to door in an enclosed carrier. Some of the responses I received were for open carriers, and some bid as though the car was a compact vehicle… These I discarded as it was obvious the didn’t pay attention to what I needed or didn’t know vehicles that well. I was just checking into the brokers and carriers in more depth when the massive winter storms hit and shut down the main interstate for 5 states between where the car was located and where I lived. Fortunately, the seller was willing to continue to store the vehicle through the winter. Even though I hadn’t decided on a carrier and stated that fact, Fernando, from Autostar kept in contact each month through the winter. Spring was approaching and fuel prices were rapidly rising. I knew the bids I had previously received would have to be higher due to the increasing fuel prices. As the weather improved Fernando kept in touch to see if I was ready to transport. Finally, I told him I was ready and would need a new bid. He gave me one within a couple of hours and was checking possible carriers for an available time frame, even though he did not have a contract yet. I received responses from other bidders and decided to go with AutoStar and so informed Fernando. The price was in the right range, but I had problems with a couple of the contract terms but we were able to arrive at a satisfactory solution for both of us and the car was scheduled for pickup the next week on a Tuesday. On Monday AutoStar called to inform me the pickup would be delayed one day but the delivery date would remain the same. Delivery was made on schedule, during normal business hours, which was one of my conditions for delivery. If Fernando was not available, someone else would cover his desk and clients. I was kept me fully informed during the process of obtaining a good carrier and the scheduling for pickup and delivery. I would highly recommend AutoStar and their personnel.

Jim was a pleasure to work with. He was understanding and appreciative. He always had a story about his farm I was eager to hear. I am glad that I was able to make the transport service as seamless and easy as possible. We welcome back Jim any day if he decides to move another vehicle, and those farm stories of course.
