Good delivery ~ poor communication

Our car was picked up three days late and we assumed that it would be delivered three days later than originally promised. They had originally told us it would be a 4 day delivery. It was actually not delivered until the 9th day, which was 5 days later than we thought. There wasn't any problem with that because we were in no hurry to get the car. Our only issue was that we planned to go out of town for the weekend after they told us the car would be here. On Friday, we received a call saying our car would be delivered early that afternoon. We waited as long as we could and then organized with our friend to accept the delivery. We called Angel's and they were very kind. They updated the delivery information and address and left messages for both the truck driver and the dispatch and told us they would get back to us. I asked that they keep us updated as well as our proxy. She assured us it would be delivered that afternoon and she would call us when she knew more.

We didn't hear anything from them until Monday morning. They didn't even call our friend to tell her there would be no delivery on Friday. Monday morning we were called by Angel's saying that the car would be delivered that day. At 11:00 we got a call from the truck driver saying he would be in Pittsburgh and the car would be delivered within the next 2 or 3 hours. I waited until 3 and then had to leave. The driver called at 4:30 saying he was in Pittsburgh and that I had to drive to downtown to get the car. I got there at 5:15, signed for the car, and drove it home.

The delivery went without a problem and I have no complaints other than that the company did not keep us informed as to the status of the delivery. They called and told us it would be delivered 3 separate days and never called us to tell us it actually wasn't going to be delivered. The stress level was very high for us. Had we been called and told the car wouldn't be here until Monday, we would have been fine with that. It was just frustrating to be on guard for so many days, wondering if/when it would show up and trying to keep my schedule clear just in case.

Thank you for your feed back on your auto transport experience. Shipping a car can be a painful experience in some cases. Our goal it to transport our cars with reliable carriers and to keep customers informed while it is in transport. The auto shipping industry has become so filled with brokers that it is even more difficult now to provide excellent service. Please refer a friend or family member who is shipping a car, and we will send you a gift card for Starbucks. Thank you for using Angels Moving Autos for your auto transport needs.
