Pretty close to perfect

I had booked with another company and then at the last minute came to my senses and did a Google search with the company name and "complaint." That's how I found auto-transport-reviews, discovered the dismal record of the company I had previously booked with and discovered Angels Moving Autos.

The Angels was able to beat their time estimate by several thousand percent. I had expected the car to be picked up in seven to 10 days, but they came two days after the call.

Depending where you live, you may need to meet your driver with your car and have the driver give you a lift back. This is because some residential streets are not kind to massive auto transport trucks. However, in my case the driver could not have known this as he never got close enough to my house to find out.

Nevertheless, I did not mind at all driving to where he was and having him drop me at the airport to pickup a rental car. After all, he was 6 or 7 days early and promised to have the car in California long before I expected it, so I was quite happy to help out.

On the Los Angeles end, the driver showed up at my office building and we unloaded the car in about five minutes.

Am I happy? You better believe it. Angels apparently has a good network of contractors because they really came through in excess of their expected performance. They're fun to work with, easy going, but all about business. At least, that was my experience.

Oh, there was one thing: the contract terms the driver presented were different from the terms I agreed to. For example, I was told I could have up to 100 pounds of goods in the trunk of the car. However, the contract said that I acknowledged that there were no goods in the car. There were some other clauses like that but I just wrote by my signature that the following numbered clauses were invalid and not agreed to.

I think there is also something funky about the $100,000 insurance policy. I am not positive, but it may be $100,000 total liability for everything on the carrier. The contractor's contract had something in it that got them off the hook for insurance coverage. I put that in the invalid list as well.

I don't have the contracts in front of me, so I can't spell out exactly what clauses were at odds with what I was told. However, the service was fantastic and I'd use Angels again and I don't hold them responsible for what an independent driver tried to get me to sign.
