Stay clear from American Auto Transport of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

I was told they would not charge my credit card until I sent them a fax acknowledging their contract terms. However, they went ahead and charged my credit card the $175 deposit BEFORE I could review their terms of the contract. Read their terms of the contract very carefully. They state they have a right to charge you a fuel surcharge and that it's normal in the transportation business. NOT true. (Since then, I have found several other transportation companies that will quote you a flat fee with no surprise charges.)

I then tried to resolve with them charging my credit card with Stephen Pages who then hung up on me. I then talked to Bethany and Stephanie in customer service 3 times and they told me my deposit would be refunded. It's almost a month and no refund yet !!!!

Do not confuse this company with another company with a similar name. They try to use a name of a company that has a great rating on this web site. Look at who you are dealing with very closley.

As a side note, would you deal with a company that posts help wanted advertisements on craigslist? Google their fax # 954-437-0935.
