My wife and I had just purchased a 69 Firebird convertible and needed to have it shipped from California to Wisconsin. This was the first time my wife and I ventured into the array of professional carriers. I had studied the list of reviews, and even looked them up on the BBB. Our initial contact with 1st Call was very good, and we probably would have had the car picked up early vs late if we had realized they were ready to go sooner then we were.

Anyway, the only complaint I would have is that it took numerous calls from us to Eric to find out the status of the shipping date, (we must have missed the wave of carriers going from west to east) and when the car was actually being picked up. (We were supposed to be called the day the car was picked up, but never were.) we were inexperienced in shipping, so a little more hand holding would have been appreciated.

In the end that didn't matter though as the person who did the actual transporting did call us up the next two days in a row to let us know the status and the approx delivery time. The carrier, Jack, was excellent and the car arrived right on time, right to our door. He even helped push it up the driveway and into our garage.

So, aside from a little lapse in customer contact, the whole experience was fine. I would use them again....and be a little more prepared for the quick possible pickup. In other words, don't call them up till you are absolutely ready to go...because they may call you that exact same day...!
