First off, I was very satisfied with 1-Flat Rate LLC. I chose this company when they emailed me to say: (1) They ask for no credit card information, (2) They do not ask for a deposit of any kind, (3) There is nothing to pay when your auto is assigned to a carrier, and (4) The quote you receive is the total you pay upon delivery with no hidden charges of any kind. In dealing with them they were honest and up front about the business of transporting vehicles. Both Yani and Ray were polite and informed. My car was delivered in fine shape and the driver of the carrier was very nice and patient. As this was my first time having an auto delivered I didn't know anything about how it works. What I now know is how screwy this industry is. Drivers pick the autos they deliver based on the amount of money they make to do so. A low quote from a transport company, while making you happy in the savings over their competition, can often work to your disadvantage in getting your car delivered. So while I wanted my car picked up on a particular day, it was 23 days after that when it actually occurred. I don't fault 1-Flat Rate in any way for this. Maybe the federal government should regulate this industry. In any event, I highly reccommend 1-Flat Rate for your auto transport needs. Thanks. - Mike -
