This rumor is a common one.  We believe this rumor comes from companies using the Non-Customer Review Process.  During that process at the companies sole discretion an auto transport company can challenge whether a review was posted by a customer or not.

The process starts with the review immediately, but temporarily hidden from public view.

The non-customer review process is open to auto transport companies regardless of their rating or if they do business with Transport Reviews.

The best part of the process is that if a company abuses the process they end up hurting themselves by giving the review they try to hide extra exposure on the site.  Ouch!  In fact running the non-customer review process typically results in the review being view more than TWICE AS OFTEN as other reviews.
