Mr. Pompel, I apologize to you that you would not recommend Viking Auto Transport, considering we worked very hard in getting your car picked up and delivered.
And we are very surprised by your negative rating of us. I will have to point out that you are leaving a lot of important information out of this review, information that perhaps your father is not telling you or you are deliberately leaving it out.
Let’s start with the original quote that your father received from us that was in the $1000 range. Your father told Tony that he did not want to pay this amount; he told us what he wanted to pay. He was told by Tony, that we would not recommend this price, since it would take a long time for his car to get picked up, since their was a lot of cars waiting in California to get picked up, and the drivers were picking up that cars that were paying more money first and going back for everything else. I will strongly point out to you that Viking those not “LOW BALL”, we successfully move between 1 50 to 200 cars per month so if we low balled we would not be able to do this. All you have to do is read all the rest of positive reviews on here for you to determine this.
Again let me go back to the pricing that we offered your father. He did not want to pay the price at the time. But your father being that he was in the business felt that he knew more than we did, so he felt that he would pay a lower price and take is chances. He felt that he might find a driver that another customer canceled and he would get is car picked up for less. This did not happen, yes the pick up day came and went, and your father started to panic calling our office constantly. We continue making calls to the drivers that do this route; we just don’t post the jobs on load boards and hope that someone picks it up. If your father would have gone with the original quote and not tried to save money, your car would have been picked up on schedule. But I’m very happy that your car was finally picked up for the original price that was quoted. For your inconvenience and the extra cost Viking will refund our fee of $120 in full and hope that you would reconsider in using Viking in the future. Thank You……. Richard H. G .M.
