Not a 4 Star Company (UPDATE)

This is just to warn those looking to do business with Viking Auto Transport. Read through the negative comments and you'll see that the same thing has happened again and again (being charged 2x and never getting the "unauthorized charge" back in $$ even when they say they will).

Review #1
I went with this company initially because it had a 4 star rating and they gave me a great quote, and so I thought that I was in good hands. Unfortunately, like many of the other reviews, I had contact with the company only if I contacted them, and through e-mail only once the order was made. I was told that it would take up to about 5 days to let me know when a truck would be out to pick up my vehicle, but I heard nothing and so I called and e-mailed only to find out that the drivers did not want to pick up my vehicle unless I paid more $$, which was contrary to our contract agreement.

Tony asked me if I was okay with paying more, and if I was, we could go with one of those carriers. I was frustrated at the open-endedness of the quote/price agreement and felt vulnerable to more price hikes along the way to pick up my vehicle. So, I ended up asking for my refund back, which Tony agreed to. I was frustrated, but felt that Tony was trying to work with me to a degree; he told me what to look for in another transport company should I cancel my order with Viking, which I appreciated.

I was told that I would get my refund back ($150), but about a week later, I still had NO refund. I asked for it again only for the amount to be taken out again! So, now Viking had $300 of mine! I told Tony and he said it was a mistake and that they would reverse the charges. As I'm reading other frustrated customers' reviews like myself, I'm a little nervous that I'm not going to see this hard earned money of mine back in my account and yet I have NOTHING to show for it: no service, no picked up vehicle, etc.

Please, please read all of these reviews so that you don't end up like many of us on here with Viking Auto Transport. We are now working with Stateway Auto Transport and are very pleased.

Viking's Response:
Miss Kawa we at Viking Auto regret that your car was not picked up on a timely manner. You did not mention in your review that we provided you with three different prices to move your car, and you chose the least expensive, it as explained to you that the price that you were choosing was the cheapest, so your car was last in line, since there were other cars paying more to drivers. This was all explained to you at the beginning, but you still chose the least expensive way, that usually takes longer to pick up the vehicle. If you could have waited two more days we had a driver for you confirmed to pick up your vehicle. But when we spoke to you, you told us that you did not wish to wait that you would make other arrangements. As you allready know your deposit has been refunded inful all$300.

Viking's response is like its responses to every other negative review, the only problem is, it has nothing to do with me and the business that I had with them. It is simply made up, cut and pasted to another negative review for them. And NO, I have NOT been refunded my $300.
This company needs to be put out of business.

Beware.
