Bait and Switch Tactics, Terrible Customer Service

I found Vantage through one of those "Get Quotes from Lots of Dealers!" type of websites. After sorting through about 30 quotes, Vantage had the lowest one by far. I called them and spoke to Sam who then informed me that "the computer just auto sends quotes so let me recalculate..," and not surprisingly it came out to significantly more. That should've set off enough alarms to make me go elsewhere but alas, after dealing with about 6 different vendors for our cross country move, I really just wanted to get it over with, so I paid the $100 deposit and went for it.

The week leading up to my pickup, I confirmed with Sam twice that it would be picked up on Monday. When Monday hit, I let it go til 4 pm without hearing anything before calling them. Sam didn't answer so I called again and got Adam, who I believe is the owner. Adam informed me that nothing was scheduled for my car but that he'd work on it and would call me back in a few hours with what he could do.

I emailed Sam expressing my frustration at the fact that I was basically going to sit around all day without my car ever getting picked up despite my confirming, and I kid not you, got this email back from him - VERBATIM:

"Incorrect. I told you it was SCHEDULED to move today. My dispatchers are responsible for arranging the transport and if there isn't a driver coming right this second, it means there isn't one currently available, YET. Please allow us to do our job and we will be in touch when the first available driver is coming."

What kind of a professional talks to a customer like that?!?!

From thereon I only dealt with Adam. Like many other Yelpers, they proceeded to jack my quoted rated up another couple hundred bucks on my pickup day which I paid for because again, I'm dealing with a cross country move, about to get on an airplane, and not really wanting to go through the whole process of finding another auto mover again. Also, your deposit is non refundable, note that hard and read others Yelp experiences before going with these guys.

Anyway, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. These guys are grade A sleazebags.
