Such a sad experience

This might be the first time I have ever given a review of 1 star, and it hurts just writing it, but it must be done. This was quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had. First, I was quoted by several transportation agencies to transport my vehicle approximately 105 miles. I went with this agency because the gentlemen on the phone seemed professional and courteous, and therefore he garnered my trust. He stated that after I paid my deposit, that I would receive a receipt and a contract by email. 24 hours passed by, still no contract. I contacted the representative to inquire, and almost every time he responded to me he was "at lunch" or he stated "I'll check on it". When I finally did get a hold of this representative, he blamed me for not calling the driver. I am sorry sir, but that is terrible customer service. That is your job. I had to do all the leg work. There was no responsibility from this agency to follow through on anything. From that point forward, I handled everything myself. The worst part of this entire transaction was that when the driver finally showed up (2 hours late), he stated that "per the contact, I owed him 50 dollars more than what I was told over the phone I would need to pay the driver. The driver was kind enough to show me from his cellular device his part of the contract, and therefore I paid him what he requested. However, to this day, I still don't have a contract. What kind of an transportation agency quotes customers one price, and then charges them another? I notified the V&C agent that I was overcharged. He eventually responded with, "Ok we will send the 50 back" over a text message. Guess what... no surprise, he didn't follow through on that either. And that was 3 days ago. The WORST customer service experience I have ever had - hands down. Do not recommend - do not pass go - I am so sad I was burned but I am sharing in hopes this helps someone else not fall into the hands of the same fate I suffered.
