I originally spoke with Chris from this company on October 11, 2012 regarding shipping my vehicle from New York to South Dakota. He related to me that he could have a carrier arranged within 3-5 days. I asked him how sure he was of the time frame and he replied 'very sure.' I stupidly gave them a $200.00 deposit!!

Long story short...several weeks passed with no confirmation of a pick up and my frustration continued to increase each day. The dealer I purchased the vehicle from was at the end of his ropes and needed the vehicle out of there.

After almost 2 1/2 weeks, I left him an email stating I was going to cancel if he didn't get something arranged. Miraculously he had a carrier lined up for two days later, Friday, October 26, 2012.

For whatever reason, the carrier ended up calling me and cancelling!!! They at least had the courtesy to let me know because Universal Transport didn't even tell me it had been cancelled.
Then the damn storm hit the East Coast!! Luckily my vehicle wasn't damaged, however I informed Universal Transport I was done with them and wanted my money back! HA! Got an email from the accounting department stating that there are no refunds on deposits!!!

This company dropped the ball 100% and I would never recommend them!

It seems pretty standard for these companies to jerk people around and take their money!!!
There needs to be some regulation of this industry!!

My journey continues of trying to get my vehicle delivered! What a joke!!!

Dear Julie, we regret that we did take a long time to pick up your vehicle. But if you recall, that you failed to mention in this Review. That when you first contacted our office, we did explained to you that transporting a vehicle from New York to South Dakota was going to take longer than usual since their was not a lot of cargo going back and forth in this route We informed you that a check has been mailed out to you for $200. The check for $200 has been mailed to the address that we have on file for you. Being that you mentioned that your bank has credit you the $200, we hope that you just destroy the check that we mailed to you or just mail it back to us.
