This was my first experience with an auto transport service. Prior to contacting UAM (United Auto Movers), I spoke with several others and received prices ranging from $600 to $1,300. Experience told me the right service and price would fall somewhere in the middle. Even so, I decided to check out the low end of the range and was given the runaround by a couple outfits out of Miami. Those guys left with the feeling that this can be a very creepy business ... like the car business in general. I suspect this is in part in because it is mostly unregulated.

With that nasty taste in my mouth, I decided to find a company with a local address and stumbled on UAW and Joe Francese > http://unitedautomovers.com/ < . We spoke on the phone and I explained to Joe my misgivings. Joe's accent was decidedly from NY and this was nowhere near it! However, after listening to what he had to say, it was apparent to me he knew exactly what he was talking about. He explained he had been in the business for over ten years and knew a lot of drivers and their routes.

He quoted me a price and the conditions and it all sounded reasonable. We agreed and he went to work. Within 24 hours he identified a carrier and my car was picked up in New Hampshire and delivered to me in Florida within four days exactly as Joe said it would be.

Based on my experience with UAM, I can only recommend this transport company!
