I will begin by saying I was lost when it came to picking a company to ship my 2007 Lexus from New Orleans area to Staten Island, NY. You google car shipping companies and you will bombarded with phone calls and emails for the next week. I wanted a reliable company that did what they said and were insured in case of an accident etc. I searched and searched and spoke to a few companies. Some were more expensive and a few were quite cheap. Then that made me wonder why the difference in price? Then I end up getting emails from the more expensive companies saying not to fall for the cheaper companies, that they are uninsured etc etc. Complete nightmare and it shouldn't be.. I googled best top rated car shipping companies and ultimate transport 123 came up as the 2nd choice. A gentleman names Joaquim had already sent me a text if I needed info to give him a call. I read reviews and must tell you some were not happy. I get it, you cant please everyone.. so I called him and he was so sweet and I told him I know nothing about the process and would like to understand. We talked close to an hour, he explained to me the process from A to Z. I spoke to him Friday and Had some additional questions on Saturday. Sunday happened to be Fathers day. He told me they are a broker, they put my info in a system and when a trucker is driving on that route, they can chose to pick up my car. He assured me and felt confident that he can have my car picked up Tuesday/Wednesday if I proceeded with the contract by Saturday night. I was in no rush to ship the car so it was no big deal and I didnt need to have the car in ny by any specific day.. initially he quoted me 1100 and I said no. He said If I get the car dropped of in New Jersey, it would save a few.hundred..I didnt mind as some parts of Jersey were only a bridge away (literally 7 miles away ). Remember the tolls for an 18 wheeler are in the hundreds to get into NY so naturally the more higher quote. I picked a mall near the bridge 7 miles away from Staten Island and the quote now was $750.. I also picked a truck area for the pick up since it would be hard for the 18 wheeler to maneuver between my neighborhood in New Orleans. I proceeded with the contract they said nothing gets charged until they actually pick up my car. The initial fee of 250 and the remainder when picking up the car in NJ. I received a call Tuesday that they have a driver and could pick up my car that evening around 8-9pm. Lady did offer me Wed morning and with kids it was easier for me in the morning so I chose Wed.. they immediately sent me the drivers Name, cell number and he (Igliz) texted me and asked if I have any questions. I told him the area I picked is a truck station so he should have no problems. He was very thankful that I understood how hard sometimes it is for them to make these pick ups. Wed morning, I drove to the station and we met . He was so very sweet and even asked how I am getting back home with my kids ( I told him walking). He actually offered to drive me and my kids back home in my car which was very sweet and thoughtful. I didnt live far so I opted to walk especially since we are in a pandemic. He took the car and after even sent me a text thanking me again for being so understanding that I chose a truck station. I also thanked him for offering me a ride back. Saturday morning the driver texts my mom in NY letting her know he'll be at the mall in a few hours and sent a text to me too. Picking up my parents said everything was fine no issues, they paid the remainder in cash and case closed. By the way they take pictures if the car and mileage when picking up in front of you and when dropping off. Happy customer and am glad I went with them. Thank you
