We contracted with USA Auto Transport weeks in advance for $565. Came time to leave FL and car not picked up yet. We called them on Wed, they said they would pick up that day or next. Never picked up. We left without the car.

I called them a couple days later from MA, car not picked up, they said they want $100 more. I said no, they need to honor their contract price. They said they will cancel the truck they had lined up and it will take a few days to get another. Gave them our MA ph # since there is no one at the FL # any longer. Called them on Monday for an update. Car not picked up yet, they need $85 more to pick up that day, but they will refund us $100 by mail, we should get the check in 5 days, on Friday. OK'd this. Called next day, car not picked up yet. They will try to get it out today. Didn't happen.

On Wed, one week after we left, FL, I left 2 or 3 messages and emailed twice. Later, Dan from USA called me and asked what was going on, I filled him in. He said he'd have the car picked up that day and gave me the truckers ph #. We think it was pick up that night or the next morning.

I called the trucker, Jose, on Thursday for an ETA to our door. He said he'd deliver the car on Friday night or Saturday morning. On Saturday I left 2 messages for Jose to call me with ETA, and waited around until 11AM. Finally I put a message on my answering machine that we'd be back by 2 PM and left on errands. No calls from Jose by 2PM. I left him another msg, he called and said he'd deliver the car around 7PM. 7 PM came and went. At 8:15 I left message for Jose that we were going to bed at 8:30. He called back in 15 minutes saying he'll delivery tomorrow morning at 8AM. OK. Then he called again saying he'd like to deliver that night at 11 PM. Said OK but we'll be asleep. He said he'd leave the bill in the car with the keys. By midnight, no car. By 2 AM Sunday, the car was there. Sunday morning we inspected the car. It was filthy inside and muddy out, and had new scratches on the roof.

As we were heading out on errands and to the car wash later, we saw that a neighbors big oak tree was torn in half. They told us the truck that delivered the car had done it around 1:30 AM while BACKING OUT OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD, and that he'd continued on without stopping. The police caught up with him and took care of everything. (Maybe that's where our scratches on the roof came from?)

Later that day, we received an email letting us know that instead of the $100 deposit refund USA Transport had promised us (we never received that ck on Friday as they stated we would), they were crediting our credit card for $75. I guess we had to pay $25 for the mud, scratches, late delivery and damaged tree. At this time, I don't know if we'll ever see the $75, but it hasn't been credited as of Monday. IF we ARE credited, than the move cost $575, if not it was $650.
