Thank you Mr.Gunning. I am glad that in your post you stated that we did in fact assign a carrier to you and that you did talk to them and confirmed that they were the ones unable to follow through. When dealing with independent carriers there are things that are out of our control. Even after the carrier cancelled on Mr.Gunning we offered to find him a second driver. This is where i would also like to point out that Mr.Gunning broke several pacts of the contract he signed. As per our contract and as was pointed out to Mr.Gunning, we were not allowed the time specified to locate him a second carrier. Mr.Gunning also double booked with another company which is in direct violation of the contract. Even after the fact, we agreed to refund Mr.Gunnings deposit. The auto transport industry does not run on a bus schedule. And while every effort is made to secure transport on specific dates sometimes carriers may run into issues, be it mechanical, weather or human error. As unfortunate as it was that we could not finish the job for Mr.Gunning, we were unable to do so because he did not afford us the opportunity. Mr.Gunning was contacted by our dispatch department on 8/12/14 to inform him that a carrier was assigned to pick up his vehicle. I would also like to note that the job was booked with us on 8/8/14 which was on a Friday. We were not available over the weekend. Keep in mind Mr.Gunnings move date was not until the 13th. To sum it up, we assigned a carrier, Mr.Gunning spoke with that carrier, the carrier had to cancel, we attempted to locate another carrier and did only to find out that Mr.Gunning had booked elsewhere, refunded his deposit.
