I was very hesitant having my vehicle shipped. I purchased a 1966 Ford F100 from Virginia and was going to rent a trailer to haul it back to Chicago IL. After calculating my fuel, trailer rental, wear and tear on the vehicle and just the overall time and mental stress I thought I would look into having it shipped. I went to some website and I received like 15 quotes from different companies (prices were so varied by hundreds) and after some research and reading the horror stories I was VERY hesitant. I did feel comfortable with NO money up front and the great communication with Laki from Total Car Shipping. He answered all my questions and returned all of my calls either immediately or the next morning. I was given emails consistently with status updates of the progress of my request for transport.
He called me to verify he had a transport all setup and walked me through EVERYTHING! The vehicle was picked up exactly when he said it would be and put me in touch with the driver/delivery company Lalone Transport. Well I must say nothing goes as smooth as planned. When they arrived at the location the vehicle did not start as I was informed it would. Lalone Transport went way above and beyond and had a tow truck come and put it on the truck trailer. He informed me he would get a towing price that I would have to reimburse him for upon delivery. He called a multitude of tow trucks to actually get me the best price ($75) AND he picked up the bill so that it would not delay the shipment! That was extremely nice on their part. Well the truck was loaded and they left Virginia that late afternoon. The next day I received a call from the transport company around 3 pm informing me they were an hour away! I was elated and utterly shocked at the speed of the delivery! Sure enough the driver came pulling up at the time he said he would and the vehicle was absolutely perfect! He placed it exactly where I asked him to and Ray was the nicest guy just like his company! I could not say one bad thing about Total Car Shipping or Lalone Transport if I wanted to! Communication, accuracy, dedication, speed, delivery, and ease of mind was absolutely STELLAR! I paid them the $700 + $75 (tow truck) and a tip of $25 because I was just so happy with the service and the overall "above and beyond" service I received! I can not rate them high enough!!! Put your mind at ease if you decide to have a vehicle shipped. Definitly contact Laki or ask for Laki because this was the only person I dealt with for shipping my truck! Feel free to contact me in Chicago for my personal experience with them if you like. Again- 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!
