This customer refused to cooperate with the carrier from the get go. The carrier arrived to pick up this 1979 ice cream truck and it was not available when the driver got there. The carrier called in advance like he was suppose to and notified the customer when he would arrive. The person at pick up was working on the truck trying to get it to run and expected the carrier to wait for them for several hours. Normally if this happens the carrier cannot wait, as they have multiple vehicles they need to pick up and deliver. The carrier agreed to wait for the fee that the customer agreed to pay. Inspections are done at both pick up and delivery and this vehicle had an oil leak and the engine was making loud sounds which was marked on the inspection AT PICK UP. The other vehicle on the carrier upon pick up was removed and put onto another carrier to avoid any damage/leaks onto this other vehicle. The carrier went out of their way to accomodate the customer, and when Suncoast read this review (the customer did not call or email us once regarding any problems) we contacted our customer immediately to discuss the issue. The customer yelled profanities and racial slurs when we were simply trying to help him. We have proof from the bill of lading that this vehicle was not in good condition upon pick up. Instead of the carrier canceling the load, he waited for the vehicle to become available to help the customer out and when all was said and done this customer was not happy with the truck he purchased- which is something that we cannot control. There are no need for the comments and names that he said when Suncoast and the carrier did everything they were suppose to do. This is not a person Suncoast is interested in doing business with again.
