OK well my experience with trying to ship my car was much like the typical horror stories you read about on these reviews. I scheduled with Major transport to pick up my car on Aug 15 and they told me on Aug 16 that they couldn't pick it up and that they outsourced the car to Trail East Trucking. Now the people at trail east were hard to get a hold of but when I did talk to someone they said they wouldn't be picking up my car til that Friday. So when friday rolled around I called and they said, "Oh sorry "the truck broke down and the driver won't be there til Monday, maybe". I decided to go for plan B instead of risking it. I called Joanne at Streamline and told her my situation and she saved the day. She put my car up on central dispatch at a good price and only took a SMALL fee for her services compared to the $200 for other companies. She gave me this discount only because of the situation I was in, but THANK YOU!! She called me back in 2 hours and said she found a truck that wanted to pick up my car this weekend. GREAT!!!! Well Mike and Linda from Griffen Transport picked my car up Monday Aug 22.
That is where the great part of the story ends. Mike got stuck in the south with the hurricane that hit Louisana, and couldn't get out for 4-5 days. So today is the 11 day after pick-up and I still don't have my car, but I am assured it will be here in about 5 days. I called Joanne to figure out where my car was and she was nice enough to keep me updated, (even though her part of the process was officially completed already). I don't know how my car is going to arrive or when, but I know that none of this has to do with Joanne. She got me a nice trucking company that has kept in contact as much as possible through this dilema, and I thank her for that!!!! I ended up paying $950 for my Toyota Rav 4. Joanne only made $50 off this transaction but she never showed me any less quality of customer service. I highly recommend Streamline!!!!!!!!!!!! I got screwed over the first time around, don't make the mistakes I did, just call Joanne first and save yourself the trouble!!
