Right away let me say that the overall shipment went very well. If you are on this site and looking at reviews then you are like me....making sure of who you are dealing and can they get the job done.

Miguel at State by State did not bait me with a low ball price. He was upfront that everyone needs to make a living and...you get what you pay for.- - -

I shipped a Nissan 350z convertible. My first choice was an enclose carrier and got a dispatch the very same day of signing the contract. Just like checking out the dispatch company I checked out the trucking company. This is where I had to stand my ground with Miguel, I was a little disappointed that both of the enclosed carriers that were dispatched had poor reviews - one had 7 negative of 18 and the other had 1 of 2.- - -
The common thread of the negative reviews was that the damage that was done by the driver was not dealt with by the trucking company and that 4 unhappy clients tried to resolve using the BBB with no resolution. When I refused the first trucking company I was sent a copy of a review from the "central dispatch" that showed that in 500 moves there was no problems. I had to stand my ground with the info I got from this site. Not everyone leaves a review - so the ones that do, good or bad - are a reasonable reflection of what is actually happening. - -

I decided that since it was late spring and no slop on the road I would switch to an open carrier. The trucking company that moved my Z was called Transporter, they were amazing. The seller at the pickup end commented on the care they took loading and I was present when the car was unloaded. The Z is a low car and had to be top loaded because it is a convertible and of course unloaded which is a pain because they need to block the ramp. They took great care. The even helped me load the car onto my trailer because I was not prepared for how low the car is and did not bring any blocking.- - -

In summary, I am disappointed that I did not get an enclose carrier but Transporter delivered the goods in a timely manner with great care.
