The bad first: This was not Specialty Mobile's problem, but beware trying to ship a vehicle out of West Virginia. Between the February bad weather, and the total lack of tranpsports going through and willing to stop in WV it took about 3 weeks to get the truck picked up. The oriiginal quote was for $1395. I had to chip in another $200 to get it picked up when it was. In hindsight I wish I had just contracted for $1595 to begin with.

The good: Specialty Mobile worked hard for us, and did warn up front that there may be problems getting the vehicle picked up in WV. The quote, even with the extra $200 thrown in, was more than fair. I checked around with a number of vendors and the $1595 was still very near the best quote of them all. Dee and the other folks in office were always friendly, helpful, honest and knowledgable. They kept me appraised of the situation almost daily, and worked hard to talk a carrier into WV in early March for pickup with the $200 sweetner. I feel they did right by me, and I have no qualms about either recommeding Specialty Mobile or using them again.

The truck arrived a lday ahead of schedule in perfect condition, considering the open carrier and late winter-cross country travel. The shippers were courteous and careful with the truck when they pulled it off, and were there in the time window they said.

In summary, I highly recommend Specialty Mobile. This was the 3rd vehicle I have had shipped and they were the best company I have dealt with yet, and are very competitive pricewise. My only caveat is beware of shipping out of West Virginia.
