great sales pitch about being in business, great guarantees, & trying to ship most vehicles on own trucks. contracted with them, my truck picked up promptly by broker, not their trucks which i found out later are only covered trucks for luxury vehicles. upon meeting truck for delivery of truck, the driver had my F-150 on bottom rack of truck & could not get rack raised due to fluid leak, he added fluid & raised rack which had been resting on TOP ON MY TRUCK ALL THE WAY FROM TX to OH. large holes in roof & dent across top of my truck.
noted damage & called SMS. $1200 damage per estimate
they referred me to delivery co & said they do not cover damage or insure vehicles, even though I contracted with them not broker. delivery company has $2500 deductible & told me they would not repair either.
SMS (Don) told me to take both companies to court if I wanted

Specialty Mobile is a broker as well as a carrier. Schedule and route permitted we utilize our equiptment when at all possible. We specialize in enclosed vehicle transport. In regards to this particular move, there was damage noted to the vehicle on the final inspection report. Amy at Specialty Mobile discussed and forward insurance documentation to the customer for the carrier we assigned this move to. We at Specialty Mobile appologize for this customers experience however at this point the issue is in the hands of the customer, the carrier and the insurance company. Due to insurance and transportation regulations only the actual carrier is permitted to buy insurance for vehicles being transported. This carrier had the insurance and is unwilling to settle the claim to the customers satisfaction. Therefore, we are no longer ultiizing this carrier and will support our customer in his claim against the carrier, and yes we will go with our customer to small claims court if need be to rectify this situation.
