Great experience with SMS!!

Just got my BMW X5 shipped cross-country with SMS. They are very easy to work with and very prompt. The cost was a bit higher than others, but at the end of the day, worth every penny. They shipped the vehicle via a very reputed transporter - Admiral Merchants of Minnesota. I checked them out independently and made sure thay were good as well.

PLACING AN ORDER
I called SMS up on a Monday to get a quote and ended up placing an order the same day. SMS found me the transporter by Wednesday. And my vehicle was picked up by Admiral Merchants by Saturday. I was very pleased with the efficiency with which they managed to locate a transport, and their willingness to accommodate my requests for documentation about the shipper (DOT numbers, Proof of Insurance, etc.)

VEHICLE PICKUP
The driver (Stanley) was very professional and courteous - I had to leave my truck with my cousin in NJ as I'd already moved to CA. He picked up the vehicle without incident and it ended up being a very painless process. This part was very important for me, because I was imposing on my cousin, and I didn't want it to be stressful for her.

VEHICLE TRANSIT & DELIVERY
Stanley gave me a couple of updates during the cross-country trip. He was a few days delayed in getting to CA due to some mechanical problem with his truck - He was stuck in Utah for a couple of days for repairs. But once he got going, he got my vehicle to my home in CA in one piece. Excellent service throughout and very pleasant to deal with.

SUMMARY
SMS is my second such experience with a cross-country transport. The first one was through FedEx Custom. STAY AWAY FROM THOSE GUYS. That was a very painful and costly experince for me. If there was a section on this website for those guys, I would be warning away as many people as I could :-)

But I digress... in summary - SMS is a great organization to work with. Dee and Corry were the two individuals I dealt with at SMS and they were both very professional and very prompt.
