Order a pick up only for it not to come till 2 days later at almost double the contracted rate

Schedule a transportation with your company a month and a half before my trip I gave pick up time and drop off time and there was confirmation for both. I also spoke to my rep two weeks before my date to leave to see if my time can be dropped off for 4 PM. He confirmed it was when my pick up day came. No one came to pick up the car. No one called. I called customer service who stated we did not have a driver that next day, which was a Monday no one still reached out to me. I had to reach out to my representative Elliot to see where my driver was and when my car was going to be picked up because the day before, no one had come to pick the car up, Eli confirmed to me that I was supposed to reach out to the company to confirm a driver that was going to take my car, which is kind of strange to me, considering I received an text message from Elliot stating that he will reach out to me day before pick up to confirm pick up time and driver Here is the next day after my car was supposed to get picked up and the company is telling me I never reached out to them with the driver so he’s told me he will reach out to the driver to see if he can find someone that will be able to drive my car considering they don’t have anyone on the books for the next two weeks . My original quote with sonic auto was $800. When he reached out to me, he said I have someone that can drive your car but they are charging $1600 which is $800 more than my original amount I expressed to Elliot that I do not have an extra $800 right then and there to give you to get my car across country he didn’t have any empathy. He stated well it’s my fault. I did not reach out to them to let him know. I did not have a driver. He said he will offer to the driver to see if he can lower the price. The driver came back with a total price of 1175. Elliott told me that the driver has dropped it down by $400. I should be grateful that I’m getting such a discount. I asked him if there’s anyway the company can credit the rest considering I have a documented paper stating that my quote is $800 with the contract with your company he stated no there’s nothing else that he can do because he’s already taken a loss by moving my car basically for free I asked he said no I asked if there was anyone else he said he was the owner of the company do I want to take the ride or not? I end up telling him I needed a couple of minutes because I have to figure out how I’m gonna come up with extra money or else I won’t get to. He said I only had 10 minutes because the driver is not gonna wait any longer, which is kind of weird considering you’re telling me a higher price and you’re not giving me any time to see if I can come up with that money other than 10 minutes or else I have to pass on it , so I end up booking it because I’m taking my daughter from Las Vegas so she’s going to I just feel like it’s very unprofessional and empathetic how the company handled me it’s not fair that was quoted and signed the contract and signed another contract after my pick up date had already passed and no one had picked the car up

As per our records we have never guaranteed you a final price, and our shipping agent made it clear to explain how transport business works. It is impossible to get exact amount about the cost, it is always depends on demand and supply, but we want to make sure that we did our best to get the price as low as we could.
