I contracted with Sonic Auto Transportation to transfer a car from North Carolina to Texas. Angel, my company representative, was extremely polite, respectful and responsive. I could not have asked for any better service from her. However, the original price quote was increased the day before the car was to be picked up. The reason provided was that they could not contract with a car transporter for the original amount quoted. This was very disappointing, but we reached a middle ground and I was able to load the vehicle with 300 lbs of stuff that I needed to get to Texas anyway, so it all worked out in the end.
