All customer service received from Signature Auto Transport and all communication with Sandra Granda from that company was excellent. There was genuine concern to satisfy my vehicle transportation needs. I used Signature Auto Transport to transport my vehicle to Florida and the trip down went very well, as planned and without incident or any complaints from me. The transport of my vehicle from Florida to New York, which is what this review addresses principally, was somewhat less satisfactory. The sub-contracted provider of services in Florida, All States Carrier Inc., made changes in pickup time and notified me directly without notifying Signature Auto Transport. My contact person with All States was Hector, but I never spoke to him as far as I can determine because each time I had any telephone conversations with any representative of All States, I asked if I was speaking to Hector and was told that I wasn't.

The vehicle was picked up at an early A.M. time as was agreed. However, it was to have been transported on a flat bed truck but the flat bed that was used to make the pick up was already occupied with another vehicle. They would have towed my vehicle on the back of the flat bed but I refused to have it transported in that manner. They removed the vehicle that was on the flat bed, put my vehicle on the flat bed and towed the vehicle that was originally on the flat bed. The two truck operators both spoke Spanish and very limited English. Since I speak Spanish, this wasn't really a problem for me but it might have been for another customer who couldn't speak Spanish.

When we arrived home in New York by air transportation the day before the vehicle was scheduled for delivery, there was an incomprehensible message in English in our voice mail regarding our vehicle. I called the number back and left a message and within a short while received a return call. Direct conversation with the woman who had called was much clearer than her message. I was told the car would be delivered between 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. the next morning. Then next morning, I received a call from the same woman telling me that the driver was close to the New York City area but was stuck in traffic and would be late. In order to adjust to this development, I rescheduled a mid morning dental appointment that I had made previously. The driver delivered the vehicle approximately one hour and a half after the orignally scheduled early morning time. The vehicle had streaks of what appeared to be motor oil all over the roof going back to the rear view window/windshield. The driver was very non-chalant about explaining how it probably just leaked from another vehicle above mine on the multi vehicle carrier. This driver never contacted me directly but always through the woman who left the message for me when we arrived in New York and subsequently updated the delivery time.

My final comment is that given the experience I had with the delivery of the vehicle to New York by All States Carrier Inc., I would not recommend the usage of that carrier for the transportation of a personal vehicle. However, I do have to separate that experience from the excellent customer service I received from the broker, Signature Auto Transport which did everything possible to offset what I considered to be less than desireable service from All States. Signature Auto Transport provided me with a gift certificate to have my car washed to remove the oil drippings on the roof of the car which I thought was a good, caring and concerned customer service gesture.
