Transporting car from California to Michigan for first-timer

I had to transport my daughter's car from CA to MI since she's moving back to start a new job. The window was only 4 days around end of May and we had to fly back from CA to MI right after the window. Timing and reliability is very critical for us. I did a lot of research and narrowed down to a handful based on BBB & online reviews. Then a friend of mine told me she had two good experience with Ship-a-car-direct (one was picked up and delivered right on time. The other the driver didn't show up but Ship-a-car-direct immediately dispatched another driver to pick up the car). Having read so many reviews and noticed sometimes drivers didn't show up , the most important thing to me is that the broker react right away to rectify the problem and not leave the customer hanging when the carrier suddenly bail out. John from Ship-a-car-direct was very helpful and courteous and was in touch with me all the way from start to finish. The car was picked up and delivered exactly as quoted and no damage. The carrier was very professional and communicated with me about the status and delivery time. It's a nerve wrecking experience to ship a almost brand new car over such long distance, especially for first-timer. Ship-a-car-direct helped make it smooth and less stressful and I'm thankful for that.
