It was my first time ever shipping a car. Selecting the transport company was quite a daunting task. I weighed most heavily on yelp review around my area and SACD had the highest review. I also liked the fact that the CEO of the company was replying to the yelp reviews. Also, the quoted price was the lowest. Over experience was good. I had the 'latest' delivery date in mind and John at SACD helped to adjust the pick up date accordingly. I was getting anxious as the 'expected' pickup date was approaching and I wasn't being contacted by SACD or the carrier but at the last moment, I was assigned a carrier. I think there is a room for improvement at this stage. I felt like I was pressured to agree to the assigned carrier without any detailed information about the carrier. I tried contacting the carrier at the phone number provided but nobody answered. It took a few phone calls and emails to SACD to get the USDOT number or the MC number, the carrier's phone number that actually worked and SACD's experience with this specific carrier. I also had to request a more formal paperwork describing all these information. It would have been greater if these information was provided at the time I was assigned to the carrier in the first place so that I didn't have to try to look up the info with just the carrier company's name. Once I was able to talk to the carrier( Discovery Enterprise Logistics) directly, things were clearer and everything went smoothly. The only downside was that the asking price was $125 more but SACD gave a $50 discount from the deposit fee. The car was delivered without any issues within the expected timeframe. I would use SACD again.
